Midday Flex - A New Time-Of-Use Option for Eglinton Village

Eve has introduced Midday Flex, a new residential time-of-use electricity plan available to customers in Eglinton Village.

Midday Flex is designed to provide lower electricity rates during the middle of the day, supporting households who can shift some of their energy use to daytime hours.

How Midday Flex Works

With Midday Flex, electricity is charged at different rates depending on the time of day:

Prices above include GST and are shown in cents per kWh, with the daily supply charge shown in cents per day.

Who Might Benefit?

Midday Flex may suit customers who:

• Are home during the day

• Work from home

• Use appliances (such as washing machines or dishwashers etc.) between 9am and 3pm

• Can shift some electricity usage away from the peak 3pm - 9pm period.

Is Midday Flex Right for You?

We have reviewed the typical Eglinton Village usage patterns to understand how Midday Flex compares with the standard gazetted A1 tariff.

We found:

• Customers who use most of their electricity in the late afternoon and evening may not benefit from Midday Flex.

• Customers who use more electricity during the middle of the day (9am - 3pm) may benefit from the lower Midday Flex rate.

• Customers currently receiving the 20% Opt-In discount on the A1 tariff would generally pay less by remaining on the A1 tariff with the 20% Opt-In discount.

Individual results will vary depending on your household’s usage.

We encourage customers to review their historical consumption patterns before making a decision.

Important to Consider

• This plan is available to permanent residential customers only.
• Midday Flex may not be suitable if most of your electricity use occurs during the peak period (3pm - 9pm).
• There are no fees to change from the A1 tariff to the Midday Flex plan.
• There are no fees to change from the Midday Flex plan to the A1 tariff.
• Midday Flex does not require a fixed commitment period. Customers may request a change to another available plan or tariff at any time by contacting Eve.
• Midday Flex rates are subject to annual review and may be varied from 1 July each year, aligning with the annual update of gazetted tariffs and any other retail pricing arrangements.
• We encourage customers to review their historical usage patterns before switching.

Eve Solar Opt-In Customers

The 20% Eve Solar Opt-In discount is available on the Midday Flex plan.

Customers who elect to transfer to the Midday Flex time-of-use plan will still be eligible to receive the Opt-In discount from the date the new plan takes effect.

Availability

Midday Flex will be available from 23 March 2026.

Customers are required to contact Eve to elect to move to this plan. It will not apply automatically.
